Frequently asked questions

How do I blur faces in a photo before posting it?

Drop the photo and the faces are found automatically and blurred. Tap any face you want to keep sharp, drag over anything that was missed, then press Blur faces. Add many photos to blur all of them in one go.

Is my photo sent to a server for face detection?

No. The face finder is a small AI model (0.2 MB, or 5.5 MB for Accurate) that downloads once and runs in your browser. The photo never leaves your phone or computer, and faces are not recognised or stored — only located.

Why was a face missed?

Faces that are very small, turned sideways, covered or in dark light are harder to find. Choose Accurate and High sensitivity, or drag a box over the face by hand. Always check the preview before you share.

Is Blur faces automatically free?

Yes. Blur faces automatically is free to use. You get 3 free conversions a day without an account, and unlimited use when you sign in with Google.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The conversion runs inside your browser, so your files stay on your device and are never sent to our servers.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. PixKaro works in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on Android, iPhone, Windows and Mac.
